Dubbed the Titanic Twins, babies born to Erin Maynard weighed in at 23 pounds, 1 ounce! The Winston-Salem, North Carolina mom is now the proud mother of what may be the 2nd heaviest set of twins born in American in the past hundred years. Think about this, if you laid the Titanic Twins end to end they would measure over four feet.

The twins named Sean William and Abigal Rose weighed in at 10pounds 14 ounces and 12 pounds 3 ounces respectively. The parents were not expecting the twins to weigh so much, but as I have seen time and time again, ultrasounds are not that accurate when it comes to predicting weight.

Amazingly the Erin Maynard carried the twins to 38 weeks which is great for a twin pregnancy. I can only imagine how she was feeling. The mother wasn’t showing any signs of high blood pressure or gestational diabetes and the twins grew normally.
