The missing woman is a petite 5 foot 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She may go by several names including Paige Dixon and Paige Beigler. When she disappeared she was wearing blue denim shorts and a blue strapless flowered top. She has hazel eyes and sandy colored hair.
Whether she disappeared on her own of whether something dire happened to her is a mystery the authorties have yet to solve. The last time Paige Birgfeld was seen alive was June 28, 2007 heading to Grand Junction, Colorado. Depsite a massive search, Paige has not been located although one suspect has surfaced, Lester Ralph Jones
Despite her disappearance, Paige’s mother and father continue to maintain her home, pay the bills and care for her animals. Paige Birgfeld also left behind three children who are in the custody of their father despite the grandparent’s to obtain custoday. Several court battles later and as of now, the appeals court is upholding the decision that the Birfgeld grandparents have no standing in regards to custody of the children. The grandparents have been able to see the children with Dixon agreeing that they could visit for a week at Christmas.
A spokeswoman fromt he Mesa County Sheriff’s office says that Lester Ralph Jones remains the lone suspect in Paige Birfgeld’s disappearance although the possibility that others are involved has not discounted.
After her disappearance, Birgfeld’s red Ford Focus was found on fire in a parking lot approximately two mile sfrom her home. Authorities do not have an explanation for this nor have the ruled out an act of vandalism.
Our hope is that with the renewed interested in the 48 Hours presentation that new information may come to light and will help solve the mystery of the disappearance of Paige Birgfeld.
