I know that he probably plays games more than he should in fact we just had a conversation this morning about limiting his computer time. He seems to respond well to charts so I’m thinking about working up something this weekend. We just got a simple chore chart posted for him that works really well. We did the same thing for potty training and that seemed to be the trick that worked the best with him. I need something more than a chore chart this time though. I don’t want it to be about him earning computer or television time, I just want it to be a set amount of this is how much television and computer time you get per day and when you take your time you need to mark it off on the chart. I guess I’ll spend some time hunting around the web this weekend to see if there is anything like that out there. I’m sure there are plenty of people that will just say don’t let the kid have the television and computer time, but you know, computers will change his life in ways that we probably can’t even imagine so I would rather have him be an expert now than trying to catch up later.
Ramble alert! Well for all my talk about reducing his computer time, I’m off to Nick Arcade with the hopes that nickarcade.com/dojo is the game he has been looking for.
